Reach him at Brian@LibertyHomesChattanooga.com . He grew up in a very entrepreneurial family. When Brian asked for a bike, his parents (real estate brokers and business owners) gave him boxes of commercial grade freezer bags to sell to raise the money. The money did not fall out of the sky immediately, he still remembers his first trip out selling door to door. “I was so excited to get the bike, that I figured I could sell most of the bags to all my neighbors in one afternoon. I put all the boxes on hand trucks and hoofed it down the road. My first trip out netted zero sales and invited a thunderstorm by the time I got to the end of street.” The story ends well; however, with all the bags sold, a blue Schwinn ten speed and neighbors calling a year later for more.
Brian Kelly and Education
Brian graduated from Red Bank High School and won a ROTC scholarship, which he took to Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. He graduated college, joined the Army and got married to Mary Dee all in the same week.
Brian Kelly and the Army

Brian Kelly and Corporate America
Brian worked for Ernst and Young in Nashville, TN following Quartermaster School at Fort Lee, Virginia. He worked in a manufacturing systems group that focused on project planning, inventory controls, MRP, bar coding, etc. He loved the work and the people but the travel as a consultant was brutal. Leaving home Sunday evening and returning late the following Friday was no way to build a family. Brian’s wake up call came when he saw a review from the partner in the firm that said “Bob’s loyalty to the group is un-wavering even to the point of sacrificing his family time.” He worked for a couple of other companies but was bored at how slow things moved and the ability to work for a small percentage earning increase each year.
Brian Kelly and Real Estate
Following Desert Storm and the birth of his son, he moved his family back to Chattanooga where his parents were building a residential real estate brokerage. He worked for them for 20 years. He ran the operation from 2001 to 2008 where the gross sales commissions topped 20 Million in 2006. The multiple office operation grew to 14 offices and several hundred agents along with and an affiliated mortgage, title and insurance business.
